Know When To Stop: If you decide to drink alcohol, you need to be responsible enough to know when you need to stop drinking. If you want to test your limits, make sure you do it at home with someone you trust so you can get an idea of when you should stop before you become out of control and unaware. Many people find that drinking any more than one drink in an hour can cause problems. Drink Slowly: If you are going to drink responsibly you need to be sure that you drink slowly. People get drunk quickly when they gulp down drinks and do not realize how much they are consuming. Take the time to enjoy what you are drinking and focus on the wonderful flavors instead of drinking a large quantity quickly.

If you are a binge drinker, you should realize that not only could it make you an alcoholic it can also lead to death! This article will make you aware of the dangers of binge drinking, so it is important for you to pay attention. In most cases, binge drinking is more prevalent among teenagers and people in their early twenties but could occur a lot earlier. Binge drinking is not something to do just for fun. Many people binge drink and do not know the seriousness of it. To most people their just drinking and having a good time with some friends, but that do not make it any less dangerous. People who die of binge drinking usually die of alcohol poisoning, which could shut down vital organs and even stop your heart.

You should make sure that you understand the connection between your drinking and your daily habits. If you normally drink when you are upset or stressed, pay attention to the things that make you upset and try to either eliminate them, or deal with them in a different way. For instance, if you are experiencing stress at work, and usually drink after work, try something else that relieves stress, such as taking a walk after dinner or listening to your favorite music. You can also take advantage of meditation to clear your head and calm yourself down. This may feel strange to you at first but after a while, you will become accustomed to using alternative methods to make yourself feel better. It is also best to substitute drinking with positive activities as soon as possible. Even if you feel that you are just a social drinker and only drink when you are out with friends, you should use things like physical activity, your favorite television show, or spending time with loved ones to replace your tendency to drink.

If we drink too much, too regularly, we are more likely to become depressed. Regular drinking can leave us tired and depressed. There is evidence that alcohol changes the chemistry of the brain itself and that this increases the risk of depression. Hangovers create a cycle of waking up feeling ill, anxious, jittery and guilty. Regular drinking can make life depressing - family arguments, poor work, unreliable memory and sexual problems.

As you drink alcohol different parts of your brain start acting differently than they should as they are being poisened by the alcohol. The Limblic System is important to your brain as it controls emotions and memories. When Alcohol enters this part of your brain it affects your emotions and you suffer memory loss. The Cerebellum is important because it controls your movement.Affected by Alcohol and your movements become uncontrollable, simple things like touching your nose and standing on one leg become very hard to achieve. Cerebellum controls everyone's balance, that's why you're always seeing drunken people falling over. Alcohol is extremely dangerous because it starts blurring the lines for these important parts in your brain.

Value and morals of a person plays a very important role in this regard! So parents should make that extra effort in telling and warning their children against drunk driving and show their own daily lives to their children by example and imbibe in them the importance of behaving as a responsible citizen. And, they should do nothing to bring any harm or any injury to people including something as irresponsible as drunk driving. Police should perform arbitrary checks on drunk drivers, especially at night to catch the offenders and reduce the menace. Most efficient way is a breath analyzer test which is the most common test used to catch the offenders DUI or Drinking under the Influence of Intoxicants that may cause problems in the present and in the future. Law against drunk drivers should be stringent and regular checks for drunk drivers on the road can be carried out by the law. Reprobates should be sternly punished in the form of levying heavy fines and penalties. Licenses of regular offenders should be suspended or terminated. Psychoanalysis programs should be conducted for those people who can't kiss the habit goodbye. Every state should provide ample information on the bad effects of DUI at the time of the driver's exams.

Are you in the habit of denying your feelings of anger and hiding those feelings? Are you able to own your anger and go with it? All of these things are important and you will need to learn how to recognize your feelings of anger. The second thing you can do is to make a list of your anger signs. Notice and record stomach, head and back aches. You may have a problem with rapid speech when you become angry. You may use sarcasm or become cynical. Do you scream and yell or argue with others when you are angry? Is violence an issue? Also list any isolation techniques you use or if you tend to avoid people when you are angry. Often when a person is no longer drinking alcohol they will still have thoughts about using. Have you experienced compulsive actions that involve, eating, spending too much, gambling or sex? You can add to the list denial or rationalization problems you have when angry, as well as revenge fantasies. Do you withhold yourself from others or become silent? All of these things may be signs of anger.
